I went looking for a specific kind of map for research purposes, the librarian searched for it. The space was empty but it felt like I was unwelcome from the moment I walked in. They found the map type I wanted, but from the 1800s, too out of date but I asked for it out of curiosity. The second librarian brought it out but warned me I was on camera, as if I was planning to steal. That made me feel extra unwelcome. This center has two librarians and a very interesting collection but didn't seem to want me there. As a devoted reader and lifelong student I feel this center and Lawson McGhee both are not using taxpayer dollars in a good way, very disappointing. I will go to UTK or Google instead.

Thankful to have a place like this to come to. I appreciate all of the folks who have worked to keep the doors open and available to us to come through and to learn.
