It's the only church in this city I've ever felt comfortable in, and I've lived here for 51 years. Of course, I haven't been to all the others, but I've attended quite a few. This will be my church when covid is gone (or drastically reduced).

St. James is the epitome of, 'open the doors & here's all the people'. This is a welcoming church, with an eclectic mix of people, who are happy to meet new visitors. This church has an open-armed, welcoming attitude & a giving attitude from the clergy & the members. No stiff collars, here (unless you prefer stiff collars...your choice). If your're confused about your beliefs or question why folks decide to become Episcopalians, come to a service & speak to the parishioners, an usher or a priest. We always have a coffee hour & snacks, after the 10:30 service and it's a great time to mingle & meet one another.
All people are welcomed. I have been comimg here since 1996. I came to visit and never left. E Example last week was Pentecost the birhday of our church. After church we had a birthday party. A table set for 12 months you were seated at the table that represent ed your birthday. What a way to make new friends and feel welcomed
Good place to meet people and have food
There's a AA meeting here on Friday night at 8pm. Please come if you think or know you have a problem with a substance.
