#AGBengal Despite being discussed many times, I had to go to AG Bengal's office for the first time because of my sales tax office work. I have been there several times since then. I was quite thrilled at the first sight. Nice clean clean office. Carried garden. I took the picture carefully then. Although it is an old British period building, the difference in maintenance is noticeable at first. Although the name is Accountant General of West Bengal, this office belongs to the Central Government. The office of the Central Government Staff Selection Commission used to be in the alley next to this office in Esplanade Row East. Now he's up in the office. The Principal Accountant General has three offices in Kolkata according to his field, responsibilities and duties. Principal Accountant General acts as the representative of Comptroller & Auditor General of India To create accountability, transparency and good governance by reconciling Accounts and Audit. #AGBengal The CAG is a Constitutional Authority which derives its powers from Article 148-151 of the Constitution of India and from the Comptroller and Auditor General’s, Duties, Power and Conditions of Service Act, 1971 (CAG’s DPC Act 1971). Its mission and role: "Mandated by the constitution of India, we promote accountability, transparency and good governance through high quality auditing and accounting and provide independent assurance to our stakeholders, the Legislature, the Executive and the Public, that public funds are being used efficiently and for the intended. purposes. " " And Vision As one of the pillars of democracy we strive- "To promote exellence in public sector Audit and Accounting Services towards improving the quality of governance" " A.G. located in front of the west gate of the palace. In front of Bengal you can see Akashvani Bhaban and Town Hall on the right.
