The station is quite good in terms of cleanliness but apart from that the station is not so good, as the Foot Over Bridge and the subway both are at the end of the platforms, during rush hours the it's quite difficult to get through the people for crossing the line either by foot over bridge or subway.. There is no water issues and the waiting room is sufficient and i prefer that the shades should be covering the whole platforms and not only a small area....

This station serves Belgharia, Kamarhati and Baranagar area and has 4 platforms.. galloping and express trains doesn't have a halt here with few exceptions and is one of the busiest station of Sealdah main line stretching from Sealdah to Krishnanagar
This is perhaps the busiest station on the Sealdah main line. The reason is, the immense population of Belgharia, Nimta, Ariadaha etc. The station is clean. However, it would have been good if there was a foot bridge near the ticket counter of platform no. 1. Currently there is only one foot bridge towards the South end of the station and one subway, which is also towards the South end. Platform no. 4 has several exceptionally good tea stalls and is really a good location for adda for the local people of all ages.

One of the main railway station in Sealdah line.The Sealdah–Kusthia line of the Eastern Bengal Railway was opened to railway traffic in the year 1862. Eastern Bengal Railway used to work only on the eastern side of the Hooghly River.
Nice platform
This place is a major area for job aspirants. Rice and other coaching institutes are available here. Station is quite good with almost all the available facilities. Flyover is there and a new subway is opend connecting all the platforms. 4 platforms are there. This is a main line platform and trains like "Majherhat - Bi-ba-di bagh local is also available. Shades are available in the platform as well as good lights. The morning and evening trains are very busy and crowded here.
I spent lots of time here (2010 - 2018). Because of RICE, Bhairab Ganguly College and others institution it's become a major place for the strugglers especially for job aspirants. You will found mess everywhere. Now Belgharia Railway station is much more improved with new Subway & overbridge.
