209 years and counting! A lesser known historical landmark in Kolkata. The founder of the is accredited to having founded the first university in India which is Serampore University. Dr. William Carey is also one of the founders of the Statesmen News Paper and he also has been know to have had one of the first few printing press in the country. There is also a college on the grounds that is for theological studies at the bachelor's and master's level. Carey Baptist Church is open to all during Sunday from about - 7:00 A.M. for the Bengali Service 9:00 A.M. for the English Service 11:00 A.M. for the Hindi Service A board near the gate has information for the weekly meetings of the church.

Beautiful Church with big compound. Lot of trees around. Not open to general public without permission. Provided Papaya leaf to people who wanted it for dengue cure.
