A very good, old and reputed publisher. But the book shop ' Dev Library ' at College Street closes very early on all days, at 5 PM and on saturdays at 1.30 PM. Very difficult to buy books from this shop after breaking up office at Salt Lake at 5.30 PM. Their books are not available at other stores of College Street. Other shops are open up to 7 PM. Other shops may be allowed to keep books of Dev Sahitya Kutir.
Nice place , bengali book collection is good.
Mobile no. given in google doesn't work. Situated at Jhamapukur
The true Bengali language publishers of more than 70 year old colour monthly magazine, Nabakallol which is their flagship product. This apart their colour monthly magazine for children, namely, Suktara has entertained generation of Bengali children as well as young at heart. A T Dev's dictionary is another product from this publisher which has withstood the modern times and digital books.
My childhood was closely associated with Suktara. , later at young age Nobokollol. Staying away from West Bengal for more than 15 years couldn't reduce the flavour of Suktara till now. Still I purchase 'Saradiya Nobokollol on every pujo'. Though, quality had gone down a bit for last few years, hope it will bond again with the new generation readers as the same way we had. Wish a very smooth journey to Dev Sahitya Kutir.
