Recently i was in the city's one of the oldest and best 5 star hotels, ITC Sonar to meet one of my friend. As i was here post evening so after spending some time we thought of having dinner in this beautiful Awadh style restaurant DumPukht. We received a warm welcome with pleasing gesture. Then we were assigned a particular table. The ambience was quite decent and the people who were working in the restaurant were very warm and cordial. We ordered Dudiya Kebab for starter. There were so many unique names in Main Course section that I was getting confused as to what to order. So finally we ordered Aloo Bhukara Kofta Salan and Warqi Paratha. Dudiya Kebab was simply awesome - quite rich in taste and very heavy. Kofta was good with appropriate stuffings but it could be better and more soft. Warqi Paratha was quite good. It is kind of Lacha Paratha with little ajwain stuffing. It was soft at the same time crispy. At first complimentary roasted papad was served. Mint chutney, pickle, onion and garlic were also served. This chutney was just too good. Roasted papad were in rolled shaped. In mouth freshner section along with usual Misri and fennel seeds, they had sweet paan. I personally do like Paan a lot. Nice dinner time. Service seemed to be little slow, could be faster.

Food quality awesome. Its pretty expensive as well being a 5 star hotel. Does not have a lot on the menu but whatever they recommend was par excellence. Ambience very good. Decor can be better based on the theme. Service good but can be better and more attentive for small needs. Overall pretty good experience.

Nice mutton and biryani , made in traditional style , the team meets you with a lot of love and warmth and help you to decide menu if you are first timer like me , bit over priced but since it's in ITC you can't say much . Over all nice experience

Costly but no comparison with their food quality and taste. May be the best Biriyani in the city. The staff were welcoming and hospitality was good. Had many food items and drinks there for many times and always that were very well prepared and superbly delicious. Place wasn't crowded at all.

We had a lovely experience at Dum Pukht, ITC Sonar. The hospitality of the staff was excellent and the food was exquisite. We had kakori kebab and a prawn dish for the starter. The kakori was melt in the mouth delectable and the prawn was delicious. We tried their signature dum pukht biriyani and Lamb for the main course. They offered us a complimentary cake for the special occasion and we had shahi Tukda for dessert. On the whole an amazing experience.

Amazed by their behaviour, food quality at its best, went to celebrate a birthday of our family member, they arranged for a very cute Birthday cake and didn't charged a dime for it, money no money but this awsome behaviour was really a surprise, looking forward to visit again, a lot of thanks for the unforgettable memories

Dum Pukht is the mughlai cuisine restaurant of ITC Sonar Bangla. The food is really good and definitely its one of the costliest and most expensive hotels in town.
