This time the International Book Fair of Kolkata held in Central Park, Besides Karunamoyee Bus Stand by Publishers and Book Sellers Guild. Very convenient to reach this place via government and private buses. Special buses are also provided by Govt of WB. This is the largest book fair of the world by the number of visitors. You can find different kinds of Books of different genres, from different countries too. This time 2020 book Fair's theme is Russia. If you're a book lover then this place will gives you a goosebumps. All bengali peoples are eagerly waiting for it. Not only bolon stalls you can find different religious, political, apolitical and service provider's stall too. After stall hopping you can treat yourself with delicious foods and snacks items from the different food corners across this fair. Please do visit Kolkata International Book Fair.

Four stars because, let's be honest, the Maidan ground is way better than this ground. This ground is just beside the karunamoyee bus stand, so buses are easily available from Garia, Jadavpur, Howrah.

Heaven for Bookworms ...especially if you are a Bengali . Eateries are also there. Full day is required to see all the stalls .

The 43rd International Kolkata Book Fair was held from 30 January to 11 February 2019. The book fair was inaugurated by Eminent author from Guatemala Euda Morales. Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee and others distinguished writers were present on the dais as Morales declared the fair open by striking the customary gong at the new venue Central Park ground in Salt Lake. Due to undergoing construction the venue was shifted from Milan Mela ground to Salt lake Central Park. According to the an organizer of the event, English books are seen as a status symbol, and are sometimes carried by people who don't even know English. Sometimes parents will encourage their children to read books in English, rather than their native language.
