Respected place.
Erected by the Britishers in 1924 in remembrance of the British soldiers who had laid down their lives in World War 1,this war monument is a unique piece of architecture located beside Mayo Road and offers an unobstructed view of the Eden Gardens.
Good place near dharmatala, Mahamodon Ground or you can say near eden garden also.. nice place nice view to capture all the moments
Except the mosquitoes here buzzing on your head in a thick column the view is nice. I dont think there is a closeby place to park your car and check this place out. You may have to park a bit further and walk down here to visit the cenotaph.
This Colonial architecture is Memorial of world war 1 but very much deprived of tourist attractions. Deserves some care and beautification

The glorious day. It is a war memorial. It's location is near the Red road. It is a heritage monument. After first world war it was built for commemoration of dead European Soldiers. While going to the Eden Gardens or Kolkata Maidan we see it and salute in mind's eye. There are two statue of British Soldiers whose heads are bent in token of respect.
