This place is used by the Calcutta University for their sporting events, such as cricket or football, as well as they give it in rent to different event organizers for hosting their programs like marathons etc.

Our University has its own tent in the historical Kolkata Maidan and Rowing Club at Rabindra Sarobar Lake area.
