Great rental agency. I have had bad experiences in the Netherlands with rental agencies, and the staff at Imperio give me hope. They are professional and attentive and do not mess you around in any way. Glad to have been a tenant through them!

I've been living in a shared flat rented out by the agency for over a year and never had any issues with them. Communication went well, could always reach them out if needed. They were always helpful and really kind! Terms and conditions were clearly stated at the moment of signing the contract, which was in dutch, so I asked a friend before to translate it for me to avoid any misunderstanding. Reasonable accommodation for a reasonable price! Would definitely recommend!
One important thing is the reason for my rating and it is that the agent whom I talked to said i would be able to cancel the rental contract whenever if I get into contact early enough. Then I wanted to cancel it and suddenly that was not possible anymore and no reasons or options where given for that. Otherwise great stay and experience with them.
In September 2019, I moved to the Netherlands for my MA in UvA. It was very challenging to find a place, but I was very happy to find a room in Zaandam with Imperio. The house was very nice and affordable, and the agency responded whenever we were in need (e.g. when the fridge broke, they brought us a new one with no extra charge.) The staff is very kind and professional. In addition, I was able to receive the deposit quickly after I moved out, without any issue. I would definitely recommend it for people looking for housing in the Netherlands.
Last year I was starting my master's at the UvA and I was looking for a place to stay. It felt almost impossible and I didn't find anything. Imperio was offering 8 rooms in Zaandam for a reasonable price. I stayed at the room for 12 months and I have only good things to say about the agency. They reply instantly to e-mails, they are straightforward, they provide help with small fixes in the house. There were no problems with small delay in payments or with returning deposit. I highly recommend this agency - if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
