Great place to visit with the family for winter sports and leisure combined with total relaxation and breath taking scenery

Nice friendly staff and not expensive
We arrived here between the summer and winter season. At the end of April on Valborgsmässoafton. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. They all toke a personal interest in us and we had great conversations (in perfect english) with them. They gave us a great deal for a room, food and use of the spa facilities. The food was great and after dinner we enjoyed the Valborg celebrations. I recommend everybody walking the Bergslagsleden to spend the night here and i will definitely be returning here.
Great place for cross country skiing.
The bare minimum of stars you can give for a review here, is one. That's the only reason the restaurant at "Klacken ski resort" gets one. The food that was served yesterday, when my wife and I visited, was really, really bad. The lunch menu consisted of salmon or chicken. I ordered the chicken, and my wife the salmon. The breast of chicken was so tough, I could barely get my knife through it and came served with: one potato with the peel on, and two clefts of tomato and a small slob of an undefined sauce. The fish that my wife ordered, came served exactly the same way, with the same undefined slob of sauce. It tasted of old fish in the worst way possible with all the bones still in it, and the skin on.And the food wasn't even warm. We just couldn't eat it. We demanded our money back and got the hell out of there. It's not worth the trouble for a 5 km detour from the main road to pay a visit there, believe me!
It was a great stay. Unfortunately the pool was closed. The scenery, however, was breathtaking. The food was inoffensive but nothing spectacular. The cabins were great.
The owner of the place threw us(all the guests who wanted) a dinner, against a very reasonable price, and we great fun he has a great sense of humor.
