A great inside view of the old times. Great place for hiking or to just take a walk and enjoy the view and the architecture. There is no public trasport to get there, so a car or a bike is necessary.

Went early in the morning walking from Kardamana, shame it's not sign posted. Found the path and just followed it through the hills. The castle is worth going round plenty of interesting things to see. The view from the castle over the hills to the sea are breath taking. The church is worth a visit small but interesting. I found the castle really interesting but it needs some information on what the parts of the castle were.

We went here by foot from Kardamena (7km). There is a really nice walking path towards the castle from the north of the town all up to the Antimachia castle. The castle it self looks a little abandoned an some maintenance of overgrowing weeds would do the place right but all in all the place has a beautiful view!

If you like castles this is a good choice. You can also have a nice hiking tour from Kardamaina, in case you like to see also something from the nice surroundings. The path is paved and easy to walk. Entrance is a free tip, inside you get nothing, the only booth selling drinks has been closed for years. Only a few walls are still there and inside two churches. But you have nice views around!

Great views, nice & big ruins. It takes around 90 minutes to get there from Kardamena by foot, but you need to be prepared (plenty of water, sunscreen).

Amazing place. Well worth a visit. Walk around the massive ruin and imagine what life must have been like there in the 13th century. Visit the small Chappel. There is a stone path leading down to Kardemena which is an enjoyable walk. On the other side is an old dirt track (quite difficult). Tip: visit at sunrise for a truly magical experience.
