The place is situated at the Palace road, near the Fire and Rescue station, Kottayam. The main landmark nearby is the Thirunakkara Mahadeva temple situated on the Temple Road. The office staff are very friendly, so to speak. The registration process will be as smooth as silk if you have just the right kind of certificates in their original and photocopies of the same. There is a toilet facility and provision for drinking water on the first floor wherein the Office of the Deputy Director of Collegiate Education, Kottayam is located. There are wooden benches and chairs placed by the wall of the front office, for the applicants to write their application and self-attest their documents. The sample format of the application can be seen pasted on the notice board.
