Great place with a lot of historical significance. As written, this was used by manikandapuram family underground passage, which would have been in 15-16th centuries. Manikandapuram family is situated near vakathanam and it would be worthwhile exploring the underground route. Pros: Silent not crowded place Access to the cave Preserved naturally Cons: There is no tourist value set up There should be some counters or some view points set up that this could change. As I see sun set from near by temple is excellent.
