Style seems to be more important than food... Food quality were actually okay, but because style is so important, small things like food temperature or even retaining sashimi freshness is an issue (think of serving it on ice instead?). Staffs were all very "slow". In terms of understanding what we want. Everybody seems to be working on a slow-mo standard - consider throwing them to McD's for training and they'll be much faster. Also, there is a minimum spend to book their room - even if its a couple of dollars to it you'll have to "pay more to match it". During reservation the price was different and during payment they mentioned a different rate. Such inconsistency plus so much so just for a room which is ridiculous. Everyone already ordered one meal each, there was a whole bottle of sake, plenty of appetisers to share and yet "we did not touch the new rate" they mentioned in store. Not a bad place to dine, but in dire need of improvements.

Beautifully decorated setting - I love the orchid table, such a pretty spot to enjoy lunch. Have enjoyed the lunch sets - they are generous in portion. And the Bocosan Maki is one of my favourites - and it looks great on the plate.

We tried the lunch sets. Huge portions. Service was fast. Gorgeous deco.

Good dining experience with good quality food and presentation. The Chasu ramen was hearty and the soup just right. Not too salty. Noodle was el-dente and not overly soggy. More chicken would be great. The maki was big serving and adequate for two person. The Sashimi however, could be better in terms of freshness - it sort of missing the zing and the slices was a bit soggy. The only thing I could offer as improvement is perhaps the bento/set presentation-to have the main facing the customer instead of having it away from the customer (See pic) because, when you eat, the main is supposed to be closer to you, not away; and what if the main is piping hot? Not too safe to hold/handle.
