Beautiful big main hall, but most of the rooms were rather no-nonsense and plain compared to other fancy City Halls I've seen. Our guide was nice and friendly, but her voice was low and she tended to fade out at the end of sentences. The tour price of 60 DKK was not included in my Copenhagen Pass so I had to pay extra. If time is short, this sight can be skipped, in my opinion. (I visited in August 2019.)

Such a beautiful hall, also has a nice garden at the backside. The staff is super friendly and professional. The wedding here is super easy, and also worth it. There are beautiful paintings and the architecture is mesmerising. I’d recommend this place in general, especially for getting married!
Really elegant building that beats the city halls of Oslo and Stockholm hollow. Best part is it’s free to visit Visitors are able to freely roam the entire hall. This is a working building so most of the rooms are off limits but you get to see most of the architectural and artistic features of the building. You need a special permit to visit the tower and there are also guided tours offered - we did not have the opportunity to do these. Allow about 1-1.5 hours for a visit.
This City Hall Square reminds me of many I have seen throughout Europe. In particular the Dam square in Amsterdam. These are fine old buildings of exceptional architecture. In the days when they were built, the square around the city hall was a main gathering centre as well as a place for commerce. This jewel in Copenhagen is a member of that collection of old world city halls. The areas around the city hall are teeming with stores, restaurants and hotels. As well, a short walking distance will take you to the famous Tivoli gardens amusement ark which I will review separately.
Large and beautifully decorative building which stands upon a large open square in the centre of Copenhagen this is the city hall with its tall clock tower.
Beautiful architecture. As a wedding photographers, we had amazing time in Copenhagen. Perfect location to get hitched.
Denmark doesn't exist. A real country doesn't surrender in 6 hours.
City Hall in Copenhagen was opened in 1905 and the architecture was inspired by the city hall in Siena, Italy. It is one of the tallest buildings in Copenhagen. The City Hall also houses Jen Olsen's World Clock, an advanced astronomical clock.
