We boarded Hey Captain with our toddler and 2 grandparents on a 2-hour tour and it has been the highlight of the grandparent visit. This is a relaxed, social and fun way to see Copenhagen from the water, explore some off the beaten path locales and learn about the history of the city intimately. The vessels are beautiful and safe, and the ride comes with a relaxed but curated hospitality that is comfortable and unpretentious all at once. It is really an intimate and social experience with good people as much as a tour of the city's waterways - the opposite of a large tour boat with rows of silent strangers and a loud intercom - and much more fun.

Wonderful tour with Anthony, the boats are perfect for a small group! There were nine of us on the tour to celebrate a friends birthday. He customized the route, stopped for our many photo requests, and was great company as he provided all sorts of insights and information as we sailed along. Since it was after dark we had a cozy space under cover from the wind. Highly recommend it, wonderful way to the see the city!
Terrific tour today with Samuel. The boats are perfectly sized for 12 - like a private boat tour with rose wine to boot! So very different from the big boat tours with their scripts. Samuel was laid back, friendly and clearly the passionate about Copenhagen. I learned a lot - and was really relaxing. Would highly recommend this tour!!
If you prefer a smaller more intimate tour that provides a personal experience you will not forget than I would definitely recommend Hey Captain. They have small boats that accommodate up to 12 people I believe (I believe you can rent the whole boat as well) which is a perfect size for an interactive tour which is what they provide. The entire staff that greeted us at the dock were fantastic and everyone said good morning or began a conversation with you. I think there were a total of 7 people on our tour and very comfortable. They provided blankets as it was a bit chilly and a top should it rain. They also offered beverages such as wine, beer, and soda which was great! Our captain was Sebastian (aka SeaBass) who was GREAT. Very informative with many many facts, history and information on the structures, buildings, boats and ships, etc. He was very interactive with all of our group and remembered all our names and origins. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the time on the canals. We also took a large boat canal tour the next day and while it was nice and informative, it was a recording of the information and not nearly as informative. For an excellent tour we would recommend Hey Captain.
If you are looking for a boat ride you should choose Hey Captain. We went for it because of the great reviews and because there are max. 12 participants on a boat. We choose the 2 hour tour to see the hidden gems and it was amazing. We learned so much interesting things about Copenhagen and got great inspiration for our own tour later on. We we found significantly amazing was that the trip was baby Friendly. Our one year old son enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and all in all we had an unforgettable experience. Thanks Hey Captain!
Great ‘hygge’ experience! Nice to make it during any season but special in autumn with candles and hot drinks onboard. Our tour guide, Jonas, was very kind and friendly. We had an interesting talk and he showed us the main places in the city from another perspective. We will definitely repeat on summer! Tak!
What an amazing experience! I usually cringe at boat tours because they're so over-the-top touristy, but Hey Captain was the perfect mix between relaxing, and learning about the history of key neighbourhoods and buildings on the tour. Our Captain was wonderful,..friendly and knowledgeable. The perfect canal tour, highly recommend!
Hey Captain boat tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Copenhagen. Our captain Sam was really fun! He was interactive and gave us a lot of nice information! Absolutely recommended!
