A pioneer in pedestrian-shopping streets in the world. Impressive that it started in 1962 when car culture was just starting to take hold worldwide. It can get busy but still a nice stroll when in Copenhagen. The cheaper stores are closer to city hall with the more high end stores closer to the other end.

A very nice place to shop. A very extensive car-free zone with many shops and restaurants. The Copenhagen flagship LEGO store is here, as well as many places to get souvenirs. Close to downtown and the harbour. Nyhavn is very close and the hop on hop off bus has stops along the area. Some beautiful architecture and historical churches and buildings. There are many wonderful discoveries around each corner!

Well this is the shopping street that most other cities try to mimick but prices in Denmark can be a bit stiff when compared to other parts of Europe. Nevertheless, the square is a good place to chill out, weather permitting!

It’s a lovely place to walk around and has a good ambience especially since it connects to many attractions such as Nyhavn. The shops are very expensive but you can find maybe one or two moderately priced souvenir shops. There is a variety of restaurants in the area from different kinds of food which are a bit pricey. I give this four stars based on the fact that it’s just a nice place to walk through when getting to other places. Would I go there if it didn’t connect me to tourist sites? No I wouldn’t but since it does I enjoyed it.

The same shops over and over again. There is some really great places there but the pricing isn't so great. There was a lot of drunk children there on my last visit.
