Great fit what it is : à nice little resort, some genuine black trails, and an above average ski shop and grocery at the base, both open Sunday !
Great place for family skiing. Everything you need, nice and quiet, chf99 for an annual ski pass, what more do you want?
Small and beautiful town in the Swiss Alps. Has a small ski resort with easy as well as challenging slopes, pretty cheap (less than 40 a day!). And access to cross country routes, snow shoeing, as well as a few summits for the back country people. Nice in summer too, with a few nice hikes, among which lac de fenêtre, stunning lake with view till the Mont Blanc, or going till the cabane de l A Neuve (3-5 hours), facing an impressive glacier.
The staff is extremely helpful, they printed us directions and itineraries for our trip. There was free wifi as well.
This applies to the town information Centre only. You go here to buy a valuable local amenities pass for 39Chf. Unhelpful inflexible staff member planned to charge us an extra 2Chf pp per day for the entire 42 day period we were travelling Europe ie.84 Chf pp. We walked away. Bought the pass at RR station and paid 6Chf for the 3 days we are here.
End of the road, the beginning of adventure.
Great place to learn skiing
