Very bad service, we were waiting 2 hours for the antipasto. When the bill came- we were shocked... 160 for one langostine pasta (it was very good but price is unbelievable). Obviously it’s a crazy price and even in London in a best restaurant you don’t pay this price. Don’t suggest, restaurant is crazy and trying to rip you off️ We are traveling by the boat and can afford any restaurant. But we expect a good service, tasty food and sensible prices. La Grotta is just a bad service and bad behavior, stuff should let guests know the price of a dish before you order. So it’s not coming as a negative surprise that one dish of pasta is 160 and suggested wine was higher price then in the menu.

Expensive for what you get, food is poor standard, nothing special for an italian Restaurant. Better to go to another one. Cover charge even for a 1 year old baby...
The quality is really good, the service correct and we did not wait for a long time. Still it's overpriced, good but too expensive.
Totally taken aback by the PRICE! 500 Euro for a group of 9 of us. They charged 5 per person for cover charge despite all the food they served us. Small dishes and two big plates of seafood spaghetti. They chose the dishes and planned it because we are a big group, so they suggested that they create something for us. Food was good but does not match the price value, and they overestimated the amount of food. Pick your own, do not go with their recommendations unless you have very deep pockets. There are so many good restaurants serving great food in Maddalena at half the price. I won't go back there ever again.
Great place, every time I come to Sardegna I go there to enjoy the Lobster ala Catalana
