We had read about the restaurant in La Presse before heading up to La Malbaie at the beginning of July. Our first restaurant since March. Even inside, they made that first return to some normalcy feel safe.

Me and my boyfriend decided to take out from here instead of Mc D’s - he took a burger and asked to have onions rings instead of fries. I took a smoked meat poutine with extra gravy sauce on the side. We paid for the extras. When we got to our hotel room and opened the food, there was no onion rings, only the fries, no extra gravy and of course the poutine was extra dry (I can even say there was little to no sauce on it). Very disappointed as we were expecting a good comforting meal. Perhaps this is a good place to eat on the spot and if you are taking out, well maybe check the entire food bag before leaving although this is super inconvenient.
We went here for dinner to watch the Habs game, on a Saturday night. We were able to get a table without waiting and were served promptly! The menu is typical pub fare, we each ordered burgers and they were good! We found the beer selection impressive and well priced. The food itself was slightly more expensive, but still fair. We liked that they were open later than other restaurants in the area.
We stopped in at this restaurant, based on mostly the reviews we read here. Food was barely warm, did not taste very good and the homemade spaghetti sauce tasted like it came from a can, although it was advertised just like mom makes. The bill was 63, we basically wasted our money dining here. We might have been better off eating at Mikes or even the McDonald's next door. Their selection of craft beers was great, but do not eat here unless you have lowered expectations and no taste buds. The service was okay, although we were not asked if we were enjoying our meal, which we did not even finish.
Wow! What a mediocre and overly expensive meal. I had the fish an chips which were reminiscent of all the box fish and chips you'd find at the grocery store. The service was friendly but our dinner service was over 2 hours in duration. The bill was over 100 with the un deserved 15% tip. My wife had mac n' cheese which she said was good...but it's mac n' cheese. We did have desert which was pretty good but not enough to save the meal. So in all they get a big NOPE from me.
