I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Jennifer at the front counter. She was not helpful or willing to let me ask questions. It is one thing to not know the answer but there is always a way to get information to the customer or at least make an effort. Hopefully if I ever needed to deal with this department again they would place a more competent individual to assist the public.

I give 1 star because about 1 in 5 is the odds of dealing with a discerning quality peace officer of LA MESA. The other 4 will be by LA MESA COPS Neanderthal thugs that 'enforce the law'- zealously. Police officers. Not peace officers. The difference between the two types is so obvious that it's plain apparent that whoever does the hiring for la Mesa pd is filling the terms with minions.

I work for Pacific Coast Commercial property management and thousands annually have been spent repairing damages and cleaning up after the homeless on one of our properties in LaMesa, California over the many years. Thank you, Officers, for your continued service overall and for taking the time to stop by 70th St. and University Ave to clear the property of the homeless activities. Not only do you save me at least an hour of extra clean up at each visit but you have also saved management, as well as the owner, thousands of dollars annually! Thank you very much to all the officers of the LaMesa Police Department who take the time to check the rear area in their busy day! You guys are awesome! Dispatcher 8281 has no business being a dispatcher. The experience I had with her was SO bad it prompted a letter to the Mayor of La Mesa and Chief of Police. They need to know what kind of people they have working for them. Don't believe me, listen to the audio. The calls are recorded right?

We are very fortunate to have such an amazing Police Department. I encourage all citizens of the community to stand as advocates, not only for our local law enforcement , for all law enforcement agencies. Having the ability to see situations as they are and not taking actions out of context is important. Take the initiative to educate yourself and others. Our support goes a long way. I also encourage members of the community to familiarize themselves with our department, the Citizens Academy is a great way to start. Thank you La Mesa PD!
