I love walking Lake Murray. I took my friend there for her first time and she didn't believe me when I told her you can't go in a circle around the trail, you must turn back. She finally believed me when we hit the fence and had to turn around. Very pretty walk/Bike/run.

Great trail but remember it doesn’t wrap around the lake, the gate is somehow closed at the 3mi mark. Also, remember that the gate closes at 6pm! Even if you get locked inside, park ranger isn’t going to rescue and help you!

I go there regularly to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and get my miles in. You can go fishing, biking, bird watching, picnicking, photographing, walking, and more. The lake is well maintained, safe, and has ample parking, must come to enjoy.

This lake is so peaceful! If you go in the early morning you’ll be joined with walkers and runners along the trail. Nice place to clear your mind. During the summer time there’s so many fun activities for the family.
