Good hostel to stay for a couple of nights. Definitely not more because there is very little guests so if you are a solo traveller, you won't make friends. It is well located and the property is big so it is very nice to stroll around. (we saw some animals in the garden!) The kitchen is pretty well equipped on some things (toasters, rice cookers, micro waves) but poorly equipped on some aspects (not enough cutlery, frying pans, only 2 cooker etc...) the staff there is SUPER nice. And I like that the kitchen is open 24H and reception until 23h :) The rooms were ok, sheets smelled not the freshest. but comfortable beds.

Gorgeous jungle setting to wake up to. Opposite convenience store and laundry. 2 blocks from atm and supermarket. 5 minutes from bakery and restaurants. Stayed in basic double and single rooms. Outdoor seating is available to catch the morning and evening wildlife. Mattress protector but no pillow protector. Power point behind the bed. No lamp. Single ply toilet paper. Yes really! Limited wifi in rooms. You have to use shared lounge or main building for best reception. Kitchen in main building is grubby and cooking items old. Not set up for convenience. Tables not wiped down.

I've stayed here one night: the tents they provide are horrible: tiny, with little air and without any decent mattress (just a useless coverlet). Prices are higher than any other cabins in the town. The only hostel I've ever seen that charges you extra for leaving your stuff there after check-out. Staff is rude and provide little useful information. The only thing good about this place is the environment in the middle of the nature, but probably in an apartment (not in a tent) and with other people managing the place would be wonderful.

One of the most outstanding places I've ever stayed at! The grounds are very well kept and gives you the feeling you are in the middle of the jungle, which I guess you kind of are because i fed wild monkeys in the gardens. The Palapa hut where the dorm is was clean, with a nice shower, mosquito nets and two ceiling fans. There is a ping pong table you can use in the common area and they can also give you info about tours. The only downsides was that there wasn't power outlets near the beds and the WiFi was very slow, otherwise very well worth the price.

I loved this place. The house is located in the middle of the nature and the people working there are extremely nice. There is always a coffee ready for you and someone to talk to in the chill out area. Definitely one of my favorites in Costa Rica and I just wish I could have stayed longer.

We had a really great time there! We booked for one night and extended another three nights because it was so great there! We saw so many animals direct on the ground that a trip to the park got (nearly) unnecessary ;) Andrew is a great and very communicative host, he had may tips what to do in the area around and he even invites a tour guide to the property who informs you about guided tours, so that you don't have to walk around to find one yourself. Kitchen is big and well equipped. We prepared curry for 21 people, was possible in the kitchen :)

So many animals to see even in the garden! Andrew is an awesome host and has so many informations about the tours in the park and where to go next and how to get there. We booked the tour to corocovado at the hostel and went with Randy who is one of the best guides I ever had. we stopped several times at the road and actually saw more animals than in the park.

I loved Jacqui and Andrew's place because it is the perfect rainforest getaway where rustic travel meets comfort! This place is surrounded by rainforest and a diversity of wildlife. I loved hanging out in the common area where we met travelers from all around the world! Jacqui and her staff were always available and made me feel right at home. They booked my tours, recommended local favorites and were fun to get to know. Jacqui is a world traveler and I really enjoyed chatting with her.
