Excellent views and great for exercise walking from beyond the barriers. Confusing place to park as barriers are down during and the punch button to open the gate is taped over. The area around the castle is dog friendly, you can't enter with a dog which is a shame as there's not much to see or destroy inside.

We attended a jazz concert in the Main Hall. It was fantastic! There was wine and snacks for purchase, tables and chairs set up, wonderful acoustics, and we had a great time! They provided bus service from the town hall because car access is restricted. The way up can be intimidating for driving anyway, so plan extra time and enjoy the hike to the top. The views are amazing and there are displays of history and you can walk around everywhere. We always enjoy it there.

Even tough Google and website shows that the Castell should be open, I went there in January 15 2020 around 11am and the doors are closed. I ringed the bell, knocked on the door, called out loud because I heard someone was making noise inside, but no one showed up. Tourists just be aware of it. Otherwise, the way up is great, with pretty views, and the outside castell is great as well.
