The outpatient surgery floor has almost no privacy. While I waited I could hear other patients being asked personal health questions and their answers. I heard the nurses talking about how Monday is pain patients and cataracts so they “really have to move em quick”. I was being asked by a nurse what I understood the purpose of my visit to be and I didn’t want to answer until the guy standing right across the hall in another open room walked away. A shower curtain isn’t a door! Where is my right to privacy?

About 3:00 Wednesday afternoon I took my wife in for a blood test. It took over 1 1/2 hours to get registered. Once called back to the lab, the nurse was great, one quick stick n we were done in 5 minutes. My wife is in a wheelchair so we are well aware of handicap accessibility. In the brand new building we saw a cheap shortcut by not having electric operated doors in the major aisles going from one department to another. Very poor design planning for everyone with limited mobility.
Still the worse hospital ever. Building a new hospital didn't help. The heart doctors and sturgeon wasted to much time doing any thing to help my mom. They just let her bleed out internally and suffer. I called to see how she was doing and the nurse couldn't give me the right information on her condition. What a shame...
They say it's ok to let your loved ones lay their with numerous bed sores all over their back and no healing. 1 is too many for a hospital. But, 5 or 6 bed sores. Terrible. Third floor nurses do not care
From the ER to being admitted, I felt cared for. The nurses and PCA's on the 3rd floor were great!!! Doctors came and seen me daily and made sure I understood what they were telling me. I was glad I went to LaPorte.
