This is a nice little park to come for a walk and enjoy some fresh air. There is a nice area to walk along the water and places to sit and enjoy the breeze. A bit further back there are playgrounds (currently off limits as safety precaution) and picnic tables and places you can grill/bbq. It is a nice park and enough space to social distance There is a pier you can enter to walk on or to fish (which requires paying a fee) Swimming is allowed though at your own risk and I would not recommend it, because the water is not very clean.

It was wonderful. Very rare combination beach, park. Very good place for family fun.

Very pretty traveling spot. Many people were here having a great time, as well as my two boys & myself. My favorite part of this area is the fact they had a nice big playground after a fun time at the beach. I recommend this spot 10/10! :) Thank you, Sylvan Beach for allowing my boys to have a fun experience! Will visit next time we travel to Texas.

This park/beach-side front is amazing. It features a small skatepark, a very fun, accessible playground for probably nearly all ages, a large gazebo with lots of seating, and benches everywhere. It has beautifully landscaped lighting and a concrete path nearby the oceanfront, so that you don't have to walk in the sand to be right up alongside the ocean, if you don't want to. The fishing pier is wondrously long so you can feel like your just walking out into the ocean. It has been peaceful with no argumentative types every time that we have visited. Has public, non ventilated restrooms, though I have not needed to use them yet. There is a gas station within walking distance from the park. I see police cars there probably every time we go, watching for any trouble. Great place to visit!

A big grassy field, a long sandy stretch, picnic tables, trash cans, restrooms, this park has everything needed for a perfect sunny Saturday. The water has high bacteria levels, and the seagulls will definitely notice if you have bread, but all in all a great place to bring the family. Lots of parking too.
