Totally interesting and absorbing museum, and a cool cafe at the top of the famous meteorological vessel
like
Three ships to look over plus shore based exhibits. The cafe is on the top of a research vessel and it overlooks a busy shipyard, so plenty to see, even when you are lunching!
The idea of making the ship itself the museum seems nice, but in fact it's not that interesting. Quite narrow and basically you're just visiting room after room on a specific ship. Other than the history of this ship, there's not much to see and learn about \maritime\. There are several other buildings too but the ship is the main attraction of the museum. Can get a small discount if you've visited Aquarium before.
Unfortunately closed in winter, but if you like ships and boats you can still have a walk round them
Interesting experience. Nice bar on boat too.
Okay but not particularly impressive. If you've never been around ships you could find it interesting. It's a self your but most of the information signs are only in French limiting the learning what your seeing.
Many historical sailboats, some nice exhibits but all signs were only in French.
Excellent value for money. Extremely varied display, with English translation, plus a free printed guide. Very helpful staff.
