An absolutely beautiful location well maintained and amazingly still open in these difficult times. The National Trust and volunteers have done a great job in making the grounds available and ensuring that trips out can be achieved within govt. guidlines for exercise. The autumnal views are breathtaking and architecture, incredible, courtesy of Capability Brown.

The village of Lacock is charming. I liked the small craft tables outside the houses. I went on 2 walks suggested on the National Trust website for Lacock and also a walk around the gardens and grounds of Lacock Abbey.

I've only given it 4 stars because the Abbey wasn't open due to you-know-what. Lovely grounds plenty of space for kids to let off steam. Museum was interesting too. Would like to come back in summer when the gardens will be colourful. Although the trees were doing their best in shades of autumn.

Wonderful, tranquil location. Cloisters open to the public with a one way system. Enjoyed learning about the history of the abbey and seeing how previous owners left their mark. Of course today it’s mostly noted for being a filming location. Lovely picnic in the grounds, cafe wasn’t open at the time of our visit. Lots to see in the gardens as well, which we’ll have to do next time.

Nice very friendly staff welcomed you as you entered the garden through a driveway. One way system in place, nice wide paths. Nice walk through the separate gardens. The cloister was closed.
