Because it's an Army barracks, it's quite safe. Can be noisy and littered at times, though.

Security is always tight which always cause lots of traffic too. There is lots to see and the biggest I have seen so far in lagos.
Good security, neat environment, quite and peaceful

Needs an upgrade
Its a big land mass...and has a millitary school there too...and some other government schools Has a sports field and baskestball court.
I think this is the largest military personnel settlement in Lagos Nigeria. It's bordered by Oshodi, Ilupeju, Idiroko, Maryland and GRA Ikeja. It's very populated and apartments are based on ranks. There's the Corporal Below Quarters (CBQ), Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Quarters (SNCOQ) and Military Officers Quarters (MOQ). The barracks is headed by a commandant who usually sees to the affairs of occupants. It's also residents to some army generals. It is important to also mention that the bomb blast of January 2002 happened here. This barracks is poorly maintained and they've been getting only 3hrs of power daily for over 2yrs due to debt they owe power distribution company. The Arena market is also part of the barracks and was built after the bomb blast incident. That area use to be residential and the usually mammy market present in almost every military barracks use to be there.
You just have to watch out for traffic. It's sometimes unpredictable
