We go every Saturday as the fruit and vegetables are locally grown and first rate. If it's not in season you can't get it. You'll also find bread, honey, flowers, plants, etc. Most of the vendors are great and appreciate your business. We just stay well clear of the snarky ones. We always bring a pocketful of small change and our own shopping bags. Now that the market is outdoors at the Lagos Sports centre (complexo desportivo de Lagos) it's a real treat. When it was in the small sheds near the bus station it was so crowded with people pushing and shoving, the antithesis of social distancing!

Fresh vegetables and home made products (honey, breads, pies, cookies jams etc.). Even lovely buckets of flowers. Make sure that you have coins, small notes and own shopping bag with you. The best choices and less groud if you go there before 9am. This place is worthwhile to visit.

A great place for fresh produce by local farmers. Get there early to have the best choice of produce and freshly baked breads.

Great produce. Open Saturday morning. Most stalls are set up by 08.30 to 09.00. Walkways are narrow so a buggy would be tricky to manoeuvre. Easier in the winter plus it is undercover. Careful where you park as buses are arriving and departing at all times. We park a few hundred metres away and walk in.

Excellent market fare. Every Saturday you can fill your basket with fresh, locally grown fruit and veg. Always be early to get your bread from Virginia, truly delicious, especially with her jams.

Chaotic, crowded, fun, loud. Keep hold of your valuables in a place like this, enjoy the atmosphere and buy from the locals. Great fresh produce, honey, bread etc on sale.
