I spent 2 days at this bothy after walking down from the Cape Wrath light more than a decade ago. A special place with fond memories - especially walking down to Sandwood Bay and bathing in the sea the next day!

brilliant bothy, it's a bit creepy inside but it's still a great place to visit
Best of the best. Very tranquil, quiet, amazing place. Away from everyone and everything, had a very good time. Would definitely recommend.
Here, they meet with friends to forget the harsh daily life for a few moments. It's as if the presence-absence(sandy) , by its autarky, excluded all further questioning.
Stunning bothy! Not many options to access this one. Hike the trail to Sandwood bay before walking to the end of the beach and hiking for another 1/2hours across untracked peat big. You’ll need a map and compass. Very well maintained bothy with lots of amenities in what remains of Scotland’s wilderness. Respect and enjoy!
Pretty good bothy. 2 sleeping areas. 1 lounge with fire. Dry peat nearby you can cut yourself. The river is hard to cross if you want your feet to stay dry and the peat bogs around are... well... boggy, but you're probably expecting that. It also has an interesting history as it was inhabited for many years by a recluse. The story is on a panel on the wall so I won't spoil it for you. There are also books about him.
Really hard trek in but wow.Bring a bit coal or Wood to keep warm.assassin
This is a very basic, hard to get to, but very special place.
