I have a very mixed feelings about this place as this was my dream to come here for a very long time. The major point of staying here is that you get a unique experience in a small village of first settlers. The "village" is very cute and the grounds are beautiful and reminds of some sort of a movie decorations. Nice helpful staff. Apart from that, I think it is very overpriced as you get a very basic tiny house with almost nothing inside. Washrooms are not comfortable at all with just a tiny old shower. The breakfast was super tasty however they don't serve anything for lunch and they have days when it is closed completely while the only closest restaurant is 3 km away. You definitely need a car for staying here.

Beautiful rustic place with a very tasty restaurant. I loved it. The houses need a bit more matainance inside. The toilet was not very nice but the rest 5 starts.
Great but a bit overpriced place. Comfort is questionable (don't forget - these houses were built in 17th-18th century), but if you are looking for the atmosphere and this ancient vibe - that's your place. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Great breakfast.
This is a unique place, not just in the Azores, but in the world. An entire hamlet was bought by the same family, one by one, over a lifetime and through hard work and commitment. They did the houses up so all the mod-coms are available, while every single detail regarding local culture and craftsmanship was respected - each house is named after it's last owner. The location is stunning, near the sea and set against the most beautiful scene in Flores island: the waterfalls of Fajã Grande. The breakfasts and meals are amazing, caring for health while ensuring the highest standards of quality. I couldn't praise this place more. Nobody can afford to miss it, it's as simple as that. Go now, stay at least 3 days to soak up this piece of heaven. You'll thank me ;)
The cottages are really cute, with a private garden and outdoor kitchen. No tv or WiFi (only at the reception), and the bed isn't great. But the view is spectacular! The food is okay, but quite expensive. The staff is very kind and helpful.
Amazing place in the well inbuilt in the Island of Flores landscape. This recovered village presents itself as piece of history in this modern age. You get the feeling of those ancient times but get the best of the modern equipment inside the houses still maintaining its vintage decor. Staff is very nice and friendly and fast to respond to any request. I recomend you choose the breakfast option as there is no cafe nearby and all the products served are genuinely local and very tasty. Nearby you find several waterfalls, water mills, trails and if you drive a little bit amazing lagoons. In summary, if you come to the Island of Flores this is the place to stay.
Aldeia da Cuada was the highlight of our trip to Flores. A fantastic, true-to-form return to a setting hundreds of years removed. The houses and gardens are beautiful even on cloudy days! We loved walking along the old stone roads, exploring paths to the beach, eating and drinking in the restaurant (seriously, the food is fantastic), and hiking on nearby trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Obrigado!
A hidden paradise village. Cutest little houses with their own little garden to relax. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.
