Amazing place to stay during weekday, for a quiet and serene view and a very slow and calm lifestyle for a few days. Also a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains. We wanted to go for kayaking, but unfortunately due to the weather it wasn't permitted. We had booked a lakeside view room and we could see the lake from the room. And since it was empty we could enjoy the view without any distraction.

Deserves a 3 1/2 . The good first. The view is superb. If you are an early riser, you can get a few hours to bask in quiet. They have a tiny beach, lots of chairs to sit and stare at the lake. By far the best part. Staff was very friendly. Easy walk to town. Saves the stress of parking downtown. Room was recently updated we were told. However, the doors have to be slammed shut to actually stay closed so we listened to doors closing all night. Very highly priced but I booked it last minute so that is on me. If you want peace and quiet, this is NOT the place to stay. Tons of kids. Pool is supposed to be heated. I almost had a heart attack when I got in.
Our stay at the Georgian Lakeside Resort was nothing short of amazing. The hotel is situated right by the lake, so you can go for an afternoon walk to the lake or also walk to town. There’s a pool and a private beach which we enjoyed during our stay. The room itself was spacious and had a microwave and mini-fridge. I definitely recommend staying here when visiting Lake George.
There are two sides of Lake George.. one is the actual residential side where people have lake front cabins. I have friends on that side but if you don't and you don't have a couple of million dollars to pay for one, there is the tourist side! Lake George is BEAUTIFUL! There is no other place quite like it.... it peaceful, it is serene, it is a little piece of heaven on earth. We stayed at the Georgian Lakeside Resort and we had a blast! The amenities are awesome, the rooms are cozy and some romantic, it's right on the lake, it's close to everything and it's just the place to be! We loved our room! We loved our heart shaped hot tub! We would go back again and again and again! I've included photos of what you can see which is not far from this place!

We just came back from a 3 night at the resort. We have 3 kids and we enjoyed our stay very much. The location is great. On the Main Street near all the shops and the restaurants, yet it’s quiet. The pool is great and the private beach is nice. You can choose different water sports for only 20 an hour . Wonderful for a family vacation.

There would be five stars if the walls weren't paper thin (as stated in other reviews). You hear everything outside, next door and above (if you have a ground floor room). Additionally, the rooms are a bit outdated and housekeeping needs to be improved. Other than that, my wife and I enjoyed our stay. The location was great, the beach, though small was clean and get there early to claim a chair because they go quickly on nice days. They also have a very affordable (non motorized)"watercraft" rental service on the beach. We used it often and had a blast. We want to come back to Lake George next year and we'd like to come back to the Georgian. So, I hope they will improve the housekeeping and make some uppgrades.
