Called up to try and get appointment for my 2 year old, the woman who answered was so rude literally sounded like she couldn’t be bothered to talk was not polite at all! Asked if my girl had had a temperature I told her she hasn’t today but over the weekend she had while she was with her dad for her to respond ‘I’m not asking about when she was with her dad’ which I found pretty rude as it was only the day before hand she had one. She asked for my number told me I’ll have a call and put the phone down didn’t even say bye. Would not recommend this surgery they need better reception staff.

They have one or two really great doctors but unfortunately are totally inept in running a doctor's surgery
If it was possible to leave less than 1 star - I would. Rudeness and a total lack of empathy from the staff here. I appreciate my condition was not an 'emergency' - but that was why I was at the GP. If it had been an emergency, I'd have been at the hospital. Duty assessment doctor all but hung up on me and then I was asked by another doctor 'why didn't you call us sooner' when I called again 48 hours later, having got worse. It's not always easy to be at your most eloquent when you're sick and vulnerable and trying to stick up for yourself against a stranger being aggressively demeaning down the phone to you. I have never experienced anything like it. The amount of time they spent being rude to me took far more time than it would have taken to see me and print a prescription. I ended up at the walk-in centre, wasting more NHS resources. I would not let my dog receive treatment from this establishment. If you're thinking of registering here - please don't. Use another surgery.
Was left without any pain medication after being misinformed by the surgery that the phone lines were open Saturday and I could phone about my pain medication prescription. I checked THREE TIMES with the receptionist that I would be able to get through on the phone, and she reassured me that I would. This was after spent all day Friday chasing this. I phoned Saturday only to have an answerphone message that the surgery is closed. I have changed this review to 3 stars as the surgery contacted me after the weekend and apologised for their error.
Terrible doctors. Called up to tell them we had a puncture 10 minutes before my appointment, refused to see us. Rather than arranging a telephone appointment. For medication I needed. Never any appointments available and the receptionist are terrible. Always talking about patients details.. loud enough for you to hear. No one answers the calls. Glad I left this place. Never had service like it.
Call for an emergency appointment, myself and several members of my family have had a horrendous cough for almost 2 weeks. Constant crackling/wheezing chests. After yet another sleepless night and having trouble to catch my breath I call asking if there is any chance I might be able to get an emergency appointment for today. I was offered an appointment for around 40 minutes time from then. I explained I worked in Southampton and that I could leave now but couldn't guarantee I would get there for that time. The attitude I then received from a 'doctor' was ridiculous, I didn't at any point say I couldn't attend, just that there is a possibility I could be late. How dare I have a job and work outside of Portsmouth! I understand their appointments are very limited and they are busy, but I was then told to go to a walk in centre. I recommend everyone doing exactly that instead of bothering to go to here! I have been with this doctors practice since birth (well before they all merged) and will now register somewhere else.
Discrimination!! Today I called in the practice for an emergency appointment as my son didn’t sleep for nights and seem to have a foreign object in his ear. When I came in I explained to Dr Down or what ever her name is. She was so insensitive and inconsiderate knowing my baby’s history of extreme dry skin and eczema. I asked her if she could order is more body cream for my son as we where travelling the next day for seven weeks, responded by saying “you know you can buy these things, and eventually we are going to cancel his proscription as we can’t afford cancer medication” I felt like she devalued my son as if his well-being is less significant. Absolutely disgusting!!
Had an appointment at 10 o clock and sat and waited for 30 mins and start to worry that the system didnt pick up my appointment .I just wanted to double check quickly as there was a big quique but i was sent away as i had to join the queque leaving me to wait not knowing if my appointment is still going ahead and i would be waiting hours for nothing .POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
