I basically grew up in this park! I moved away from Lake Villa in 2007 but I often drive through just to reminisce. Someone posted that the police hound you if you even drive through the park. I have never experienced that. I know the place is residents only but I still stop by. My mom and dad's names are on the plaque at the base of the Centennial Clock so I stop by to take a peek. I will sure miss Lake Villa Days because when I was a kid it was THE event in Lake Villa. The rides, the water fights, Bingo called by Effinger's Hardware family and someone always saying \Ham or a Bacon\ on the loud speaker. Times change but not always for the better!! The Summer Celebration is very nice though. Maybe the village can incorporate some more fun stuff for the kids in the future at the Summer Celebration.
