Absolutely amazing place! Wonderful with kids. Master Black and the other instructors are always kind and welcoming. It feels like you're with family as soon as you walk in the door. I enrolled my 5yr old son in their Tigers class and I could feel the difference in him after the very first class. He's typically shy and reluctant to join in groups with other kids but not here! Great emphasis on manners, respect, and discipline. I now plan on joining myself. They have classes for all ages and abilities at various times throughout the day. I highly recommend to anyone.

To think this all started with groupon! I am so thankful I found that Groupon. My Son has really grown because of the classes, instructors and his team mates. It's so amazing to see the older kids working along side the younger kids. It's very obvious that the older children have learned the pillars Master Black talks about each day. I have never met a more respectful group of kids. When I asked a fellow parent how she managed to teach those kind of manners, her response was \Master Black and Taekwondo.\ Her comment made me feel like I was doing something right as a parent, and as we all know those moments can be few and far between. You really become part of a family, a Taekwondo family. My son looks forward to the many activities offered here. He is already talking about the Halloween Party for this year, and really enjoys the summer camps. As a parent I feel very comfortable leaving my Son here for summer camps. Knowing the other kids learn Respect and partake in a bully prevention seminar makes me feel so at easy leaving him here with older and younger children. My Son was 5 years old for his first summer camp here. I remember he didn't get nervous until we got there, and he saw all of those big kids. One of the amazing leaders headed over with Master Black and quickly made him feel at easy. Master Black, the owner of this gym takes the time to get to know your child. She wants to hear about their other interests. She is invested in them, like they are her own. We have been lucky enough to have our FREE Birthday party here, which Master Black made sure was full of activities! We enjoy pot lucks and parties, if ever a fellow family is in need she is right there fundraising. Last weekend Master Black even took time out of her Saturday to come to see my Son play soccer. I am proud she is part of my team, and we hers. I have lots of LOVE for this place and hope to continue our Taekwondo journey. Thanks Master Black!!!

Wonderful martial arts school. I went here about 10 years ago and stayed for a few years. Master Black and this school instilled discipline, respect, and integrity while I was growing up. I may not remember all of the forms now, but I remember the values that were taught. There was a sense of community within the school. I'd recommend this school to people of all ages.

2 Maters over 50 years of dedicated training.. You can find 2 Masters, here, ready to teach you self confidence to face this big and ever growing city!! It has been years now that I have had ATA Martial Arts Lakewood Training. To this day, I walk through any part of the Denver Metro with confidence and no fear. My son, who is a black belt, has had to be the mature kid and walk away from an aggressive situation without hurting anyone. He learned self control...The skills we learned in Master Corina Black's training will always be with us, we have control over our bodies in a way we could have never imagined. I am 5'4 and 145 lbs, I am fit and agile and ready for the world because of ATA Martial Arts Lakewood, Thank you Master Black, and Master Runge, and Athena Valdez and all the other educated staff make you a better person!!. The moment you meet Master Corina Black, it is easy to see why she has been teaching for 27 years. Her passion for her students is evident in all she does for her school. Our 10 year old has been in the Tae Kwon Do classes for a year now and all we see is benefits of his first class education in Martial Arts. Recently my husband and I joined the school too and now together as a family we enjoy exercise and fun and learning something new. The self defense classes are great too. After a class you leave there, happy, feeling good and full of energy.

This school has changed my life, since joining I’ve gotten comments from my peers noticing me being more confident and responsible. You feel so accepted within this community and even get to be a part of a Taekwondo family. The personalized help from the instructors makes it hard to not succeed and yet still feel challenged. It’s a wonderfully fun, social, and useful school. There’s a place for everyone here, definitely the addition I needed in my weekly schedule.
