Having done business with Durham for a few years I truly can't understand how they've been able to stay open as long as they have. The buses are all completely dirty on the inside and the seats are all torn. They never know who is dropping off or picking up buses at what times. I am surprised how are able to pass State Patrol inspections. They will also swap out your buses all the time at their convenience. If you have no other choice use this company, you will get a bus and it will run but don't expect anything in addition to that

one of there school bus driver side swiped my car while I was parked.I was not operating my vehicle Kim wheeler told me. I'm at falt even though I was not operating my vehicle.and he is refusing to report it to the insurance company.. now i have to take them to small claims court because they refuse to fix my car. which I will be filling tomorrow. they lied to about me about making a police report. I went to the court house for the 911 transcript for when I called and was told no officer was dispatch in that area at the time if the accident nor was a report made these people are all around liers I wouldn't trust them with my kids.
I know it's the beginning of the school year and new drivers are learning new routes....HOWEVER there seems to be a lack of common sense. I take my son to a bus stop everyday on Route 6 to Lincoln High School. Different drivers everyday. One day a bus driver was coming towards the stop and flew through every intersection, not hesitating too see if a vehicle was approaching. Another day the bus driver stopped about half a block away from the stop and students had to walk from the stop to the bus. Yesterday the bus stopped 2 or 3 blocks from the stop and sat there while approximately a dozen students stood in the rain. I drove to the bus and asked why he wasn't picking up the students. He said it wasn't time yet. He still had a few minutes, so the students continued to stand in the rain instead of sitting on the bus. I was told there would be a new pickup time starting today - 6:49. The bus arrived at 6:56 going the opposite direction of the route. I was texting with my son and he said the driver kept pulling over and reading the instructions. Apparently the driver did the route backwards. Good grief! I just called the Tacoma office. The call immediately goes to music. Never any comments about when or if they will answer your call. Hung up after 5 minutes. Next day: Bus came early and didn't wait til scheduled time to leave. Two students were running to the bus and driver took off!
Great place to work! Good Trainers who can teach anyone to get a CDL and drive safely. For those who say they could never drive a big vehicle, come and give it a try.
They are a great company to work for. Staff is friendly and fun, courteous. I enjoy working for them.
