I am so happy we found The Music Lab! The teachers are SUPER fun and friendly. My daughter is only 3 and learns so much each lesson. They know how to cater the lessons to each age so that they are learning age appropriate skills. I love the vibey atmosphere. Super hip and comfy inside. The owner is a great guy and really puts his heart and soul into this school. You can tell he is passionate about kids and helping them learn music. We instantly clicked which was a relief. I love it here and my daughter does too!

The Music Lab offers a very innovative approach to teaching piano by going beyond the 1:1 lesson. As a member, your child has access to several other resources in addition to their weekly lesson, including group practice sessions, performances, and music history/theory lessons. This past year during Covid, we have been incredibly grateful that the Music Lab team has continued to provide all of these services remotely. With schools closed and kids needing positive activities for their mental health, being able to continue with music has been truly important. Michael Clark is very gifted in working with teens in particular!

I’d give more than 5 starts if I could! Michael and everyone at The Music Lab are simply amazing. They care about their students’ progress in the instrument being studied and care about the student personally as well. Michael’s strong connections in the local and broader music community heightens his ability to offer students fantastic opportunities to participate in music competitions and other events, which is so great for students’ development in the performance aspect of music study. He is well respected and accomplished in his field, and he brings a spirit of fun and dedication to music which is unparalleled. I’m grateful we found the lab, as my son has soared in musical abilities since he started studying piano there. My daughter has just started guitar lessons at the lab, something about which she was nervous until she met her teacher, and he made her feel confident about her abilities. The Music Lab is the place to be for fun, uplifting, and positive experiences with music, whether just starting or building on existing skills. Get in there while they have availability!

I came to The Music Lab in August looking for something to help uplift my daughter during these crazy and uncertain times. Since school shutdown, it's been a difficult adjustment for her with the lack of social interaction. She is eight years old and did not have any prior music lesson experience. From the first moment we met Mr. Michael (just for a consultation) we were greeted with his contagious and positive energy. I had reached out to several other music schools and I knew, right away The Music Lab was exactly what I was looking for. Every time I reached out for information and questions to be answered in order to make my decision, Mr. Michael was prompt and willing to respond. I am beyond thrilled with the effort Mr. Michael and his team have put in. Their lively moods and passion to teach my daughter shows me how much they care about her growth and development. She has now been taking lessons for almost three months and she has EXCELLED. She has worked with several instructors and each one has displayed patience and a tailored experience for her learning style. She looks forward to her weekly lessons, sonata society and even practices on her own without me having to tell her. I know this is due to the fun approach her instructor Mr. Hunter puts on her lessons. Taking everything into account with this pandemic, Mr. Michael and his team have been so innovative with workarounds to keep the kids interactive but also safe. He explained right away things would be different than they were before, such as taking field trips and hosting recitals. However each month he and his team have gone above and beyond to create new ways to keep the students engaged from zoom recitals, to calculated groups. Above all, I am so pleased and grateful for The Music Lab. It is more than just about my daughter learning to play the piano. It has become a sense of belonging for her. It is something to look forward to and most importantly, a support system I am forever grateful for.

as someone who actually plays music at the place, it’s a very comfortable and fun environment. you’re never pressured or anything, you’ll be able to pick your own music and songs you’d like and it’s just overall very fun. if you’re ever looking for a place to learn new music i would definitely recommend going here!

Michael, the instructor, has my son captivated with all he can learn. Under his guidance my son has learned about music and is currently taking piano lessons. The pace is perfect for our son who doesn't always want to practice but does enjoy learning how to play piano. There are several instruments available for instruction and the lab is clean and comfortable. The lab is easy to locate and there's always been plenty of parking.

Michael is a dedicated teacher with patience and flexibility. He instructed my daughter through her application for SOTA. She did a phenomenal audition I was very proud of how proficient she became under his guidance. He really motivates students to give their best and also to cope with performance stressors such as making mistakes while performing for a crowd. I recommend Michael 100%.
