Absolutely loved this gorgeous wee hotel. Fabulous location in the middle of Lamlash bay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Impressive menu (we ended up eating here every night. When the food is this good, why go elsewhere?) Great drinks selection too. We also made great use of the guest lounge as it had games and books available. This hotel offers fabulous views over the bay to Holy Island, and even from the garden view rooms this can still be seen. We stayed in the cosy double room. Nestled at the top (3rd floor) of the hotel, this is a very cosy wee room with all amenities you need (tea and coffee making facilities, storage drawers and cupboard, hairdryer, telephone and a few toiletries). I was even impressed with the shower! Superb water pressure for a hotel shower... I could have stayed in their for hours but I had the beautiful island to explore!! We will definitely be returning to the Glenisle Hotel!

We were on break for two weeks at Lamlash. After 3 attempts to eat or drink at Glenisle we gave up. Perfect location, great beer garden, (hence 2 stars). First attempt, '"sorry no staff to serve you", similar second visit. Third, we were told to sit down and scan QR code on table for service...app was "hanging" gave up.
Loved the room, clean and great shower. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Food was great, got tomato n lentil soup then steak and ale pie was excellent. Full breakfast didn't dissapoint, haggis was the best. Highly recommend to anyone!
If you are looking for a decent base camp, this hotel is one to consider. Rooms are spacious, modern, fresh, clean, everything you could need, and bed is luxuriously comfy. There is also a calming reading room with books and bored games which is nice to sit in. Staff are attentive, friendly and keen to help you. Reason I give 3 stars is the food really let this place down. I really advise to experiment different hotels and bars for food and drink rather than here. Very basic and limited menu. The soup on the first night we tried was...I'm sorry but disgusting. Orange does not belong in carrot/celeriac soup! The evening meal. There are only 3-4 options in starters, mains & desserts but not overly fantastic choices. Pate ran out, but ham terrine was quite nice but steak pie dinner was mediocre and toffee sauce in sticky toffee pudding was too strong of Guinness, and I'm rarely fussy with desserts. Breakfast and scones are the best food here. The bar and restaurant seating area is just okay. Although, the seats in restaurant with the arms are quite tight, And dug into my legs, so you really need to be no bigger than maybe a size 14-16 to sit on them(I'm unfortunately a bit bigger than that), but they do have armless seats up the back. All in all. Place adequate but could be better. We may stay again one day but not rush to. Thank you for the hospitality all the same.
Had a great stay at this hotel, the room was a bit small but had a great comfortable and cozy feel. The staff were really helpful and very friendly. The food... this was amazing, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Would love to stay again.
Had dinner in this cozy restaurant. We have mixed feelings about our visit. At one side staff was very friendly but not always paying attention. First drinks were served very late and second round of wine was forgotten. Each time they excused and fixed upon our remark. We ordered vegetarian lasagne which looked tasteful but it was served cold, bummer. After telling waiter it was solved quite quickly and a little later we got it back heated. So in the end we were quite happy, but details could definitely be improved.
Very good. Nice hotel and good service. Food was great and arrived quick great views of the water
Outside seating amazing especially in the sun, great to relax and think about life..
