Visited back in October. I came here bakery while driving through Carnwath on my way to Dunsyre. Inside it looked like an old school bakery with ovens and other baking equipment. There was even baked good fresh out of the oven, so that's a good sign. As I was only on my way to Little Sparta, so I only ordered a tea and Apple Turnover as a snack. One of the best Apple turnovers I've had in a while. Fresh cream, tangy apple chunks, hard to complain about that. They even have sugar alternatives for my tea. The staff are also welcoming and friendly here as you'd expect in a small town. The only downside is that they don't accept cards, it's cash only. I only mention this because of you know what.

I've discovered that place by accident to be honest. Just stopped on red light right next to it. Best coincidence in a while. Lovely sponge cake and Scottish pie. Local bakery in small village. Must visit place when you're near.
