I’ve lived at City Block Penny Street for 2 years. The flats are very well furnished and decorated and make you feel like home. Staff is incredibly helpful and go above and beyond with any issues. I’ve been very thankful for all city block members who’ve helped me with relocations during my placement year. If you are going on placement City Block is the best place to go back to after a year in industry! I’ve also been able to make really good friendships that last!

The new City Block is the worst student accommodation I've ever stayed in. The leaking of rain damaged my wall paper since 2017 December (This post was written by Feb, 2018). And still nobody is coming to fix this. I've emailed to them, and they said somebody is gonna come to fix it, but turns out no one. Apart from that, everything in City Block is pretty bad. The lift will be out of service at least once a week, not mention about the wifi, when you are downloading something, you cant even watch a youtube video. You can't even play online games with this wifi. No jokes, I got disconnected in League of Legends for at least 10 times per day. If I am a student looking for accommodation, I won't be recommending the new City Block. Theres a reason, why they have to the sell the City Block 1,2, and 3.
I have been living in Cityblock for the academic year 19/20 and have absolutely loved it. Everything you need is around the corner, the living space and the rooms are so beautifully done and are perfect for every student, and the views of the castle from the flats is stunning. Apart from that, the team working in the reception and the cleaners are so friendly and caring and wonderful to talk to. This has been a difficult end to the year but city block has been amazing throughout. I will really miss living there.
I had a great experience living here during the 2019-20 academic year. The staff were always helpful and the facilities are modern and clean.
Living at CityBlock for my final year at university was one of the best decisions! The accommodation is lovely, spacious and clean, with some amazing views of Lancaster and the castle! But I think the best thing about it are the caring individuals who look after and run the block - they make you feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommend for any students and a big thank you to the team so far!!
At CityBlock Lancaster, the experienced, knowledgable and affable staff are there for every student, every step of the way. Regarding cost, you truly do get what you pay for: a modern, first-class facility with everything thought out down to the most minuscule of details. Not to mention the placement is exceptional as you are mere minutes from everything you will need. Speaking from personal experience at CityBlock 4, Rachel and Michael have been like an extended family in every sense of the word. From the moment I was greeted to now pestering them on a near-daily basis, they are always there, no matter what anybody needs.
CityBlock is a great student accommodation and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is great, close to the bus stop. The room and the kitchen are spacious and modern.
I have been living at City Block in Lancaster for about 5 months now and I can honestly say that I love it so much. It has a great location, the staff are extremely friendly and always have an open ear for you regarding any concern. The rooms are extremely nice, open and friendly. My experience has been so amazing so far, that I decided to stay at City Block for my second academic year.
