Lovely walk to get there (despite the weather). Something of interest with a bit of history that can be enjoyed. Fantastic views all around too.

Nice walk but it is always windy. Some nice views of Plover Scar Lighthouse too. There are normally some wind surfers out on the water.

Great views from this place, all the way from fleetwood to the lakes. The Abbey originates from the 11th century! Sadly under threat from the impinging sea, as local authorities struggle to maintain sea defences due to cutbacks.

Nice walk but not too exciting

It is what it is, a ruined abbey, not high or imposing, but it is an interesting, accessible, link to times past. Noone is trying to charge a fee, you can walk right up to the building. For some reason, a wind and salt swept ruin perched on a coastal promontory is more evocative than going right up to a building of similar age, but still maintained.
