I've been taking lessons with David in Hong Kong for the last 5 months. First of all he was really kind to accommodate with my bizarre schedule, being in and out of HK. I have had piano lessons before and had one teacher trying to take a similar path as David. i.e. not teach you how to just read a score following what is written but explaining you how it all works. But David takes this approach to the highest level. He really makes you feel confident, and soon without even knowing it, you start understanding how things work and it becomes so clear. As previous comments said, David asked me what I like, what I wanted to play. I was not too sure I guess, because I like too many things. So David just took the lead and brought me where I wanted to be without really knowing it ! So yes, great teacher, great understanding of his students. You want to learn, understand how music works, have fun ? Choose David !
