Food is OK now, used to be much better under the previous owners. New owner and staff are generally miserable - particularly the owner. He couldn't crack a smile if you paid him, and yes you pay well enough for the food to warrant polite and friendly service. He just CBA!

What a great find! Fresh and delicious fish & chips at a really decent price. Amazing selection of gluten-free options, including battered cod and haddock, battered sausage and all the chips are gluten-free (and even GF vinegar). Such polite service! Highly recommend!

What can I say? It takes more than making the interior look pretty to be a decent chippy. Over cooked and dry, the portion size wasn't much worth shouting about either. Ive had bigger kids portions from Hodgsons compared to the alleged 'regular' size I got here. And when I asked if I could have a few more chips to fill the void I could quite clearly see in my chip tray, the response I got was quite unsettling as I do not appreciate being eyeballed from across the counter by some disgruntled individual insisting that their portion sizes are correct with an angry look on his face and even angrier tone in his voice. I wasn't asking for the world. Just a few more chips and the next time you're thinking of having a refurb on your shop, I suggest you take that money and spend it on a customer service crash course you angry little man. Very rude. Very very rude.
Fish and chips haddock to be exact was lovely miles above some others I’ve had batter was abit thick for me but I’m sure some people like it like that wasn’t not nice, and I’m sure they would accommodate me a lighter batter in a future visit. O and the staff are friendly and it’s a nice looking clean place.
