This is the first time that I have written a bad review on google but I do think that there is a problem at Starbucks here that needs addressing. Unfortunately, my wife has had a terrible experience today from one of the barrister who was really unprofessional (we won't mention his name). This barrister was not greeting any customers and seemed moody. Maybe he was having a bad day. Anyways, my wife ordered a toffee latte but asked for extra syrup, the way she likes it. We think the barrister forgot to add in syrup as it tasted different this time. That was not the problem as we know people make mistake. When my wife politely pointed out that the drink tasted differently and asked whether it would be possible to have a new drink, this barrister had shrugged, and without saying any word, ignored her completely and moved somewhere else. Another staff at cashier had taken the drink away from my wife and she was left standing for several minutes, not knowing what to do. My wife then asked the guy again whether she was wrong about asking for a new drink, and his response was \I don't know.\ He eventually remade the drink and handed to my wife without saying any words. My wife had worked at Starbucks for 4 years when she was in the US. She is fond of Starbucks and is a regular customer there where she looks forward to her drinks. She didn't want me to write a review but after hearing what had happened, I can't help but to feel angry about how she was treated. As customers, we should not be treated in this way. We should not be made guilty for pointing out that the drink tastes different and requesting a new one. I think as a barrister, it is fundamental to at least greet and welcome customers as this is what going to a cafe is about. It's a shame as the rest of the staff there had always been lovely so I hope that this issue can be addressed.

Fabulous service from Dan, gave all the options and it was great to see that he was keeping right on top of social distancing, asking customers politely but firmly to adhere to systems put in place when people were standing too close. With so many shops not seeming to care, this was very reassuring.

Dissappointed-Coming from South Africa was excited to try starbucks for the first time as South Africa only recently got Starbucks.. anyway we were told that they dont take cash so we couldnt order as we dont have local bank accounts yet and so no card to swipe. So still havent tasted starbucks. Barrister seemed annoyed that he already wrote on the cup, just kept repeating that they dont take cash, but the coffee shop accross the road was more than happy to take our cash. So will go there in future
