The LongAcres Lodge website is a joke!!! Luxurious accommodation - my foot! We paid R5400 UPFRONT to stay in a filthy unit which did not accommodate 8 people never-mind the 10 people advertised! There was not enough seating in the lounge, the dining room table was so small and had seating for 3 people! Where should the other 5 sit?!?! The kitchen was FILTHY, small and had no area to prepare food! We were given 1 toilet roll for a family of 8 to use for the entire long weekend (3 days)! The geyser allowed enough hot water for only 1 person to shower/bath. The rest of us had to have a cold shower/bath. The unit had not been cleaned/vacuumed/swept at all before our arrival. We were told by the Manager that we would be able to watch a full DSTV bouquet, but only had limited channels to watch. The DVD player was broken..... Shortly after arrival, we had to go to the shop to buy domestos to scrub someone else's faeceas off the toilet seat and in the toilet bowl before we could use it! A "luxurious accommodation" - I think not. When laying a complaint to the owner - Brenda Blom, I was spoken to rudely with a nonchalant attitude. I want my money back! This place should not be open for business at all. I am furious!
