Hi I had lost a pair of glasses whilst on holiday and used to use Optical Express . I decided to go local to For Eyes . The eye test was done very professionally and I felt it superior to any previous tests . I then ordered 2 pairs with different prescriptions and in this instance they had the material for both in stock . I waited 25 minutes and went home with 2 new pairs to the new prescription and paid half of what I would have with Optical Express . I am a converted customer with For Eyes and would thoroughly recommend them . Thanks again :)

This was first class. I went here on a personal recommendation, and it surpassed my expectations. The friendly and efficient booking of an appointment by phone, the cheery staff, and the excellent lady optician who did the eye test, taking time to explain details was great! Add that to my 2 perfect pairs ( with different frames) of the best varifocal specs I have ever had for 160, and it cannot get better. I am a very happy customer.

go somewhere else. My partner tried supporting this local business but the service was apalling. 1st visit,female optician did a good eye test but asked for her to return with glasses. On 2nd visit male optician was downright rude. When prescription was asked for this was scribbled illegibly. When asked to write it neater he mumbled the numbers and did nothing more. The opticians at Boots could not read the prescription so it was a waste of time. On return to ask for the prescription to be reproduced my partner was again treated rudely - the male optician is not an asset to this business and I strongly advise the business owner to look at how customers are being treated. All for supporting local businesses but when customers are treated this badly they can shove it - we'll take our business to somewhere it is appreciated and who don't treat us like something smelly that the optician has just trodden in.

Rubbish service. Ordered 2 pairs of glasses, one normal and one with reaction lenses. These were ordered from a factory in China, and the lenses had to be returned on both pairs. Eventually 2 months later after numerous phonecalls and voicemails left I was told that my glasses were ready to be picked up. When I arrived it was apparent that they had mixed up the frames, the pair that should have had reaction lenses didn't, they had been set in the other frames. When trying the glasses on, they realised one of the frames was bent. So this again had to be returned. I left with only 1 pair, having paid for two. A week later I called back and was told that the lady had forgot to contact me, and that my frames still hadn't been replaced. At this point I asked for a refund. On entering the store they tried to stiff me for extra money because I was "only having one pair now". So despite not receiving the reactions lenses I have been charged more for the normal lenses which I did get. Unhelpful, poor products and poor service. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
