Amazingly unique restaurant with the appearance of being outside in a village which reminded me of skyrim. The play area continues this theme of being outside as it is made of wood and kids keep their shoes on. The whole experience was great and worth going back to.

David was our waiter for table of 6 adults and a baby. He was so friendly and patient. The challeges of the ordering system proves tricky but he was so helpful with it all. The food was beautiful and everyone really enjoyed their meal.
You may as well get a "just eats" order at home. Need to wear a mask when entering. When seated NO TABLE SERVICE OFFERED AT THIS TIME. NEED TO ORDER AND PAY ONLINE WITH A QR SCANNER. If someone else is paying for it, who does not have a qr scanner, your screwed. It was all very distance, complicated and cold. May as well order from an online menu and enjoy from the warmth and comfort of your own home. Rather than only paying over and above to sit in AN COLD EMPTY SPACE . There really is no point! ***OWNERS RESPONCE***, DOES NOT ADDRESS NO TABLE SERVICE. WHICH IS NOT ILLGEAL. IT'S THEIR CHOICE. OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS HAVE TABLE SERVICE. I DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT ORDERING AT THE BAR. OWNER MISSES THE POINT. OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS ARE BETTER!!!!
Food was very tasty but waited a whole hour after our meals beofre our dessert was brought out and that was after chasing it up, didnt get the drinks we ordered, and the waitress seemed so busy that she wasnt even listening to us properly when we were ordering drinks first time around... It was really busy whith hardly any staff... Dont think we will b rushing back...
Stayed at the premier inn with my daughters & Soon as we went into The Bruce straight away told it would be a longer wait for food as very busy. Staff were so friendly & could see they were run off their feet & still trying to ensure all customers were happy. It was a shame at some of the things I witnessed whilst there from other customers- a lady complained her gammon steak was greasy when even from another table you could see it was the juice and not grease then I could not believe my eyes when I watched her then pour water on her plate making it look like grease and then took a photo of it- utterly disgusting! The queue to order food was at one point very busy & staff were having to deal with yet another customer looking for 2 refunded for a discount they missed on their dessert, through no ones fault but there own. Can’t understand why people go out their way just to cause unnecessary hassle and stress for staff who are already very busy and clearly trying their best. The meal we had was lovely and even though the kitchen was closed by time we finished, the staff were happy for us to order dessert and in no way did we feel rushed or in the way. We came back the following day for lunch and again lovely friendly staff and great meals. Would definitely come back. Thank you to Jean, Paige & the rest of the staff for being so friendly & accommodating! Hi
